52 Haiku Week 5

This week’s haiku is a little dark. Not because I’m depressed — in fact, life has been pretty good lately and I’m happy — but because I wrote it while listening to Stella Pope Duarte talk about facing your fears and getting to know your inner universe. If you ever get a chance to hear her talk, take it!

A fear bubbles forth
A spider of self loathing
Slam it with a book!

Now its your turn!

Fly toward the light
on wings of hope and despair
your strength takes you there

Purple lake runs cool
through my mind like a dagger
where is my home now?

Blue crystal water
Concentric circles spiral
