52 Haiku Week 16
Erg! This is more difficult than I had originally thought. Oh, well. Better late than never!
52 Haiku!
Was I on drugs or something?
Nope. Just plain crazy.

This week’s haiku is inspired by the first experience with fireflies, back when I was living in Baltimore. I was enraptured by them and still feel the thrill when I think about them.
Lighting bugs outside
blink like Christmas tree lights while
they search for a mate
I had to avoid the computer last week due to a back spasm, so here is last week’s haiku almost a week late.
A fly jit jitters
Across our truck’s windshield.
Does it know I’m here?
On Saturday, I heard a self-made millionaire speak. He talked about life being filled with choices and how you move toward your goal by always making the choices that lead you there. That’s what inspired this week’s haiku.
Choices fill your life
The moment of truth is here
Which road will you take?
Oh, if you happen in live in the Phoenix area, you might want to go to the next meeting of the Millionaire’s Club. The talk I mentioned above was the March meeting. We meet every second Saturday of the month. For more information, visit millionaire.meetup.com.
Oops! I was brain dead this week. Sorry for posting this so late.
The World spins around
Like a dradle in the sky
Will it stop someday?
For the past two weeks I’ve been dealing with my dog’s health. She’s been sneezing blood all over the place — a bad combination of high blood pressure and aspirin seemed to cause it. Anyway, I’ve really had blood on the brain lately, thus this somewhat dark haiku for this week.
Cleaned gore off the floor
Can I take it anymore?
Please stop sneezing blood!
There, that feels better.
Today’s haiku was inspired by an absolutely beautiful sunset I enjoyed last week. The sky was slightly overcast and the layers of clouds were all different colors … light purple blue, brilliant pink orange and even a scattering of white. Stunning.
